Initial Editing On Final Cut Pro

Harmony:
This is what we've have edited for our flashback sequence so far, it still needs a lot of tweaking such as smoother transitions between shots and the pace of the shots. So far we have added high contrast to the shots to give it that flashback feel, it looks very white and bright and we like this as it gives off the feel that it isn't feel life it's a flashback. We still haven't added in sound yet as we are still researching the sound that we want to add into our flashback to give it that eerie feel. As I've already said we still need to alter a lot of things in the flashback but this is our first time using Final Cut Pro so we are still getting used to the program after changing for the more simple editing program of iMovie. We are still discovering new things and features on the program but this is what we have so far, enjoy :)

Sarah:
This is our first time using Final Cut Pro and so we have started to adapt to using the program and how the editing options work. We have edited the clips to make them brighter, more blurry and less lifelike. It gave the effect that it is not real or at least different from the rest of the film and so shows to the audience that it is a flashback. We don't know what we want to use for the sound effects as we are still researching suspense type music. We want the music to be intriguing and to create suspension.

Jack:
First time using Final Cut Pro, so had to have a play with it first to understand how to use it confidently so we can edit using it knowing that we weren't making the wrong move when looking at good effects to use. Above is the start of the flashback sequence edit. We have created a dream sequence look by brightening the shot and making certain areas blurry and less life like causing the flashback dream sequence. As Harmony has said above the sound has not been layered into the clip yet as we are still experimenting with sound clips and soundtracks. We will go on experimenting with certain effects in certain clips until we find the right effects. But for now, Enjoy!
